Hair Removal
Laser hair removal works by targeting the pigment in the hair. The laser damages/destroys the hair follicle which prevents hair regrowth.
Most people experience a permanent reduction in hair, some regrowth can be expected. Laser treatments will greatly reduce ingrown hairs and improve smoothness of skin.
Amount of treatments needed-Because of hair growth cycles, an average of 9-11 treatments is the expectation. Treatments are needed every 4-8 weeks, depending on the area. Treatments are comfortable.
YOU CANNOT BE TREATED: if you have had recent sun exposure or used a tanning bed; are pregnant; or taking Accutane.
NOTE! The laser targets pigment, so treatments are not effective on white, blond or gray hair. The hair must contain some color (pigment) to attract the
laser and be effective.

Vein Treatments
Laser can safely & effectively treat both superficial face veins and some
deeper blue and purple leg veins. Laser has been shown to be effective in treating superficial vascular lesions like rosacea, telangiectasia, and port wine stains. The laser delivers pulses of light energy which cause the blood within the vein to coagulate, eventually destroying the vessel which is later reabsorbed by your body. Three to six treatments are needed.
Following treatment, some redness or bruising may occur. When larger veins are treated, a tan or brown pigment may persist for a few weeks or months following treatment.
After treatment you can generally resume most normal activities after
treatment. It is recommended to avoid strenuous activities such as
exercise for 24 hours after treatment. Sunscreen use is advised.
The majority of the treated veins show improvement within 2 to 6 weeks of treatment. Final results may not be apparent for several months.
Over time, new veins may appear, but they can be treated.

Skin Pigment Removal
Energy laser is absorbed by cells containing excessive concentrations of pigment. If the area to be treated has a fresh sun tan or has been treated with self-tanning lotion, it is best to wait a couple of weeks for the tan to fade before having treatment. For a while after laser treatment the treated area may feel hot (sunburn/ windburn) for a while after laser treatment. The brown spots may become darker within a day, then will slough and/or fade over about 7 to 14 days.
Occasionally (depending on the severity of your sun damage) the treated area may remain somewhat pink for two to four weeks, and there may be some flaking during this time. This is a normal process as the body works to eliminate the pigmented blemishes.
Protect the treated area from sun exposure until the skin is completely healed and the skin color has returned to normal.
About 60%-80% of common freckles and age spots resolve after one treatment. Some need a second treatment, and a few need to be treated more than twice. Some blemishes do not disappear completely, but will be significantly lighter in color after treatment.
How well your lesions respond depends on several factors. Superficial lesions such as freckles and age spots tend to respond more quickly as compared to deeper, more complex lesions.

Rejuvenation-Nd:YAG
The Short-pulsed YAG 1064 nm laser penetrates relatively deeply - all the way to the lower dermis. As a result, it is effective in treating larger and deeper telangiectatic vessels (spider veins) compared to the shorter wavelength lasers. It is also effective in treating rosacea and facial flushing, especially the cases where deep dermal capillaries play a major role (such cases may be resistant to shorter wavelength lasers). Also, since this laser penetrates throughout the dermis (the layer of skin where wrinkles reside) it is useful for treating fine wrinkles and depressed scars. Similarly to a number of other directed energy treatments, it triggers new collagen formation by producing controlled heat-damage in the dermis.
Tattoo Removal
Tattoo Removal takes an average of 22 treatments. Treatments are
5 weeks apart
Lasers work by producing short pulses of intense light that pass harmlessly through the top layers of the skin to be selectively absorbed by the tattoo pigment. This laser energy causes the tattoo pigment to fragment into smaller particles that are then removed by the body's immune system. Researchers have determined which wavelengths of light to use and how to deliver the laser's output to best remove tattoo ink. (If you're wondering if the laser might also remove normal skin pigment, don't worry. The laser selectively targets the pigment of the tattoo without damaging the surrounding skin.)
PAIN RELIEF
Laser Therapy is an FDA cleared modality that reduces inflammation and ultimately results in pain reduction. Laser Therapy is effective in treating acute pain, chronic conditions and post-op pain.
Laser therapy treatment is safe, painless and fast. Deep Tissue Laser Therapy treatments are administered in 5 to 10 minutes. Typically patients see results after 3 to 5 treatment sessions. Deep Tissue Laser Therapy utilizes your body’s own healing powers by stimulating cellular activity. Despite fast treatment times, laser therapy treatments initiate a healing process that continues to actively reduce inflammation for up 24 hours after treatment.
